On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Gene Machine Mobile Science Laboratory will be coming to Buford High School. They will be doing a "Name That Disorder" Lab with AP Biology, "Seafood Forensics" with Honors Biology 2, and "Gel Electrophoresis" with Honors Biology 1.
Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Soccer team for their 3-1 win at Lugoff-Elgin last night.
Tomorrow night, there will be a special Region Championship match vs. Cheraw at 6:00. The game will be held at Andrew Jackson. Everyone is encouraged to come out and support our Jackets as they attempt to bring home the Region title. Again, game time is 6:00 and will be played at Andrew Jackson.
BHS drama club will be presenting the play,"Nightmare High School" on May 4th and May 5th in the auditorium. Tickets available at the door only for $5; performances start at 6:30. Enjoy the funny take on the mystery of the Locker Stalker with six curious students, zombies, Potato Mash Monster, evil teachers and Mad Dog Mulligan! And you thought losing the locker combination was a nightmare!
This is the last chance to purpose a yearbook. It is too late for personalization. Checks should be made payable to Buford High School. The yearbooks are $90 and the books will be delivered during the week of May 15th.

It's that time of year again and we are ready to sell plants. We have 5 different colors of geraniums, 9 different tomato varieties, student projects and numerous other great bedding plants. New plants this year are orange geraniums, black petunias, peach verbena, Irene lantana and white sunpatiens. We will be selling at the Farmers Market on April 8. Ask a student or come on down!!!Call the school and ask for Gayle Posipanko.
Additional Auditions are being accepted for the talent show and more information may be obtained from Mrs. Richardson, Mrs. Haynes, or Mr. Loudermilk. Talent Showcase will be held Thursday, April 6th at 6:00 pm in the BHS Auditorium Jacket. Auditions are being held on Monday, March 27th, Tuesday, March 28th, Wednesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 30th 3:40 - 4:30 in the band room at BHS. Please make sure you see Loudermilk, Richardson, or Haynes for an audition time. Other important dates are as follows:
Practice Times for the Talent Show will be as follows: Monday, April 3rd, Tuesday, April 4th and Mandatory Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, April 5th each day the time will be 3:40 - 4:30.

The ACT WorkKeys will be administered to Juniors on Tuesday, March 28 and Wednesday, March 2.
There is no JV match, only our Varsity Boys vs. Chester here on March 2 at 7:00.
