Cell Phone Policy

Failure to abide by the district cell phone policy will result in confiscation of the device in which a parent/guardian will be required to attend a parent-scheduled conference with a school official before the device will be returned.

First offense – the confiscated device will be held until a parent meets with a school official.

Second offense – the confiscated device will be sent to the Safety Director and will be held for a minimum of 10 school days. The parent must call the Safety Office to make an appointment with the safety director.

Third Offense – the confiscated device will be sent to the Safety Director and will be held for a minimum of 30 school days. The parent must call the Safety Office to make an appointment with the safety director.

Fourth offense – the confiscated device will be held for the rest of the current school year and will be eligible for return after the last day of school. The device will be stored for up to 180 days after confiscation if a conference is not held and the device is unclaimed.

▪ If the device is not claimed after 180 days the device will be disposed of by the school district as abandoned property.
