Because of you, our community feels more connected, informed, and proud. We appreciate your dedication behind the scenes and the positive impact you make every day.
Happy School Communicator Appreciation Day! 💙

LCSD Culinary Arts were very proud of our students. A big thank you to everyone who was involved with our ACF Chefs of Charlotte meeting last week where our LCSD Career Center hosted a World Foods culinary competition. Our students were nervous at first, but performed to their very best showing the best sportsmanship. Every one of our students were supportive of each other and created an atmosphere of champions. Thank you to the American Culinary Federation Chefs of Charlotte, who mentored students to success and thank you to the judges, some of whom flew in for the event. Thank you to Chef Noel Ridsdale, who came up with the genius idea and developed it into a great competition, which created opportunities for all of our students from novice to future leaders. The winner from the competition, Michael, now has a golden ticket to the national World Food Championships in Indianapolis this fall.

Today we celebrate our amazing school nurse for everything she does to keep our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn! 💙
From caring for everyday scrapes and sniffles to supporting students with ongoing health needs, your compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed. You are a vital part of our school community, and we are so grateful for the comfort and care you provide each and every day.
Thank you for being a trusted helper, a calm presence, and a true advocate for our students’ well-being. Happy School Nurse Appreciation! 🩺✨

Thank you to all the teachers who go above and beyond every single day. Your patience, dedication, and passion don’t go unnoticed. You inspire us to grow, challenge us to do better, and support us even when we don’t realize how much we need it.
Whether it’s staying after school to help, encouraging us when things get tough, or simply believing in us, you make a lasting impact that goes far beyond the classroom.
We appreciate everything you do—this week and always! 💙📚

Thank you for your vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to preparing our students for success beyond the classroom. Your leadership helps bridge the gap between education and the real world, giving students meaningful opportunities to explore careers, develop skills, and build confidence in their future paths.
From supporting innovative programs to building strong community partnerships, your work truly makes a difference in the lives of our students every single day. We are grateful for your passion, guidance, and the positive influence you bring to our school.
Happy Principal Appreciation Day! 💙

Our mentees gave back to the community by assisting with moving furniture and other heavy items, helping dispose of old materials, salvaging usable items, and clearing the parking lot of litter. Their willingness to serve and lend a helping hand reflects the values of leadership, teamwork, service, and community pride.
It was truly an outstanding day of service, and we are proud of the young men of the Ambush Club for representing themselves and the LCSD Career Center so well! 👏🏽

Please join us for another spirit night at Chick-fil-A Lancaster next week! The money raised will help our students get to the National SkillsUSA Conference in June!

Thank you for your patience, dedication, and commitment to keeping our students safe on their journey to and from the Career Center.
You show up with reliability and care, playing an essential role in our school community. We are so grateful for everything you do behind the wheel and beyond.
Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day! 🚌💙

Do you have a ride you want to show off? Bring it out on May 2 and support our students at the same time!
We can't wait to see all the one of a kind rides!

Our EMS students stepped into real-life scenarios this week, learning what it takes to handle emergency childbirth in the field. From normal deliveries to high-risk situations such as breech presentations, placental complications, and maternal emergencies, students participated in hands-on simulations that challenged them to think quickly, stay calm, and work as a team.
Guided by their instructor, Mrs. Chapman, they practiced critical skills such as patient assessment, communication, and safe delivery techniques - because in EMS, every second matters. These simulations aren’t just activities; they’re preparation for real moments where first responders make life-saving decisions for both mom and baby.
Experiences like this show the reality, responsibility, and reward of a career in emergency medical services. It’s not just about the sirens - it’s about being ready when it matters most.
Interested in a career where you can truly make a difference? Consider joining EMS or another healthcare pathway and start building skills that save lives.

Mr. Bonda’s presentation, “Building Your Life: Character, Choices, and Your Future,” was both engaging and interactive for our mentees. He shared powerful lessons on the importance of character, earning respect, treating others the right way, developing a strong work ethic, understanding choices and consequences, building real-life skills, and becoming a young man of value.
Mr. Bonda poured tremendous effort, honesty, and purpose into his presentation, and our students truly benefited from hearing his personal experiences, the obstacles he has overcome, and the life lessons he shared. We are incredibly grateful for his time, dedication, and continued investment in the success of all students at the LCSD Career Center.
Thank you, Mr. Bonda, for making a meaningful impact on the young men of the Ambush Club! 🙌🏽
