Today was the last day of Indian Land Middle School 8th graders touring the Career Center. These 8th graders have had the opportunity to visit classrooms and hear from instructors this week about our programs. Hopefully this has sparked an interest in students to enroll in some of these classes in the future as high school students!

Doer, Dreamer, or Drifter? Which are you? That was the topic of Mrs. Kishanna Heyward’s presentation to the Ambush Club for their November major event. Mrs. Heyward is a local entrepreneur in real estate and a content creator with her own YouTube Channel: Money Moves with K. She has over 73,000 subscribers. The Ambush Club members were highly engaged in receiving information on how to identify their passion and how turn their dreams into action. Mrs. Heyward ended the session by sharing some real estate knowledge with them to get their thinking caps going. A true delight. Thank you Mrs. Heyward for sharing your time, resources, and expertise with the young men of the Ambush Club. We are grateful!

The Ambush Club hosted the Career Center’s Thanksgiving meal baskets giveaway for students that were recommended by their teachers this year. The Heyward Family delivered the items (everything a family needs for a proper Turkey Day meal) on Thanksgiving eve to nine families connected to the Career Center. The basket giveaway was a true team effort that included the administration, select teacher and support staff, Ambush Club members, and our community partners who donated the food boxes and pre-cooked meals. Thank you to Food Lion of Lancaster (Airport Rd. Location) and Second Baptist Church in Lancaster. Happy Holidays everyone!

Mr. Sowell's Level 1 Carpentry class has created beautiful cutting boards and we want you to vote for your favorite! The students designed their board and completed all of the work from start to finish. Each student carefully planned their design, cut the wood, glued, planed, sanded, and rounded the edges. Lastly, they carefully coated each board with oil to protect the wood. Click on the link below or scan the QR code to see the cutting boards and cast your vote! Voting will end on Wednesday, December 4. https://PollEv.com/surveys/nIcMbNZncQU5tNaOD8KAc/respond
