The Ambush Club's March main presentation consisted of a men’s fashion showcase. The demonstration focused on how to wear a suit from head to toe, plus proper care for each individual piece of the suit. The mentees also walked away with a free tie thanks to the main presenter, Mr. Henry Jones (a local Gospel promoter). We'd also like to thank local business consultant, Mr. Kevin Gray & motivational speaker & business owner, Mr. Stephen Loney for devoting their time and resources with the Ambush Club.

Mr. Robertson and his welding students had the opportunity to tour Chief Buildings in Lancaster, SC. Students saw the entire process from raw materials to the finished product. They were able to ask questions about welding careers and manufacturing processes.

On Wednesday, April 2nd, 40 students in grades 11 and 12 participated in the "Find Your Future" Event at LCSD Career Center. Paula Stegall Lail, Ronald Cunningham, and Ezra Cunningham organized this event to provide students with information about college, career, and military options after graduation. Four military branches (Army, Navy, Marines, and National Guard), 3 colleges (York Tech, USCL, and Clinton), and SCWorks all provided useful and relevant information to help guide students in making decisions about their lives after graduation. And, most importantly, students were served ChickFilA lunches at the conclusion of the event.

Don't miss this opportunity to help save a life!

We are excited to announce that Lancaster County School District has partnered with OSP by Edlio to provide our schools with an online payment platform! Schools are adding products to their web stores such as field trips, t-shirts, after school programs, etc. To check out the district's OSP by Edlio website and the individual school stores, visit https://osp.osmsinc.com/LancasterSC/.
The district continues to allow cash and check payments, if that is your preference.

It pays to stay in school!

Students in Law Enforcement Services received a visit from our very own Sixth Circuit Solicitor, Mr. Randy E. Newman, Jr. on March 19. Mr. Newman shared his experiences and gave tremendous insight into the criminal justice system from a lawyer’s perspective. Topics of discussion included: lawyer’s career pathways, responsibilities of South Carolina Solicitors and their assistants, an understanding of the trial process, additional positions within the courtroom and the Solicitor’s Office, and their qualifications. The students enjoyed their time with the first attorney as a guest speaker in the Law Enforcement classroom! Thank you to the Sixth Circuit Solicitor, Mr. Randy E. Newman, Jr. for taking time out of his schedule to invest time into the Law Enforcement program at the LCSD Career Center.
