Today our teachers were treated to a catered meal from Adela's as part of Teacher Appreciation Week!

The treats keep coming....teachers had 2 options for lunch today...sandwich trays provided by Food Lion or David Dawgs!

As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, Brew LaLa was set up at the school today for the teachers to enjoy!

Health Science 2 students learned about donning and doffing PPE this week.


Cosmetology students were invited to attend a color theory experience presented by Matrix educator Mickie at Mane Street Hair Designers earlier this week. Debbie Crenshaw, owner of Mane Street Hair Designers, has been a salon in the community for over 40 years (1981) and aided in helping many cosmetologists gain success in there careers after school. She is a product of the Career Center and says:
“I am thankful for the Career Center. Best decision I made and I have gotten many of great stylist that have become successful stylists - salon owners”.

Students in Mrs. Wheeler’s Advanced Personal Finance and Accounting classes had the opportunity to work on a Mad Money Simulator-Budget with Mrs. Stacey Adams and Ms. Asia Perry from Founders Federal Credit Union. The students enjoyed the budgeting practices and the ability to make sure their budgets balanced without getting into debt. Some of the students were surprised to see how fast their income diminished from their monthly paychecks.

Another Machine Tool project! Level 2 students used Mastercam and a Haas CNC mill and lathe to create this clock! There is also an inscription on the bottom left corner!

Our welding classes are working on more grill for this school year!

Health Science 4 Clinical Students used hot dog wieners and simulation skin pads to practice intradermal injections. Many of them were successful in producing the desired wheal on their first try!!
