Friday, January 10, 2025 will be an eLearning day. ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed. Lancaster County School District has been in contact with Emergency Management. Due to the hazardous conditions from expected snow, freezing rain, and sleet with a possible accumulation over an inch we have determined closure is essential. As a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. ALL events and activities are canceled for Friday, January 10, 2025 through Sunday, January 12, 2025.

The Ambush Club held their Christmas luncheon in late December to reflect on their progress thus far, and to share a meal with a supportive Career Center administration and staff, community members, plus sponsors. Thank you to Career Center Culinary Instructor Chef Hawkes and his students for preparing a wonderful meal. Thank you to all that was in attendance and shared words of wisdom with the young men of the Ambush Club from the community (Mrs. Amy Carnes: Lancaster County Economic Development Coordinator, Rev. AnThony Pelham: CEO of The Community Powerhouse, and Mrs. Linda Stegall: Camp Creek United Methodist Church). We would also like to acknowledge everyone that gave towards our Vertical Raise fundraiser and sponsors during the 1st semester (Camp Creek United Methodist Church, Publix Charities, Christmas with Chuck, and Comporium) that made events like this possible. We are grateful for your investment into the young men of the Ambush Club!

Hope everyone has a great first day of second semester!

Law Enforcement Services 1 students took their OSHA-10 certification (with a focus on Law Enforcement) at the beginning of December and 100% of the students passed. The OSHA-10 certification is a nationally recognized course that focuses on workplace safety standards and procedures. We are so proud of these students and their hard work. Thank you to Mrs. Jenkins for providing words of congratulations during a mini ceremony in their classroom.

Ms. Baker's Marketing classes had a cookie decorating contest, but with a twist! Each student had to pick a brand and then design and decorate their cookie in a way that would represent that brand! Students enjoyed the activity and had some really good designs! Let us know if the comments which one you like the best!
